As the Frankfurt Bookfair unfolds this week, more and more companies are racing to unveil diverse eReader offerings for book lovers who want to go digital.

It's the case of Chinese company Onyx that just pulled the veil off its latest product, the Boox i62, reports GoodReader. Onyx isn't new to the eReader game and has unleashed previous models on the market.

The new devices feature a 6-inch Pearl e-Ink touch enabled display, similar to those offered by the competition (Kobo Touch, Nook Simple Touch or Sony PRS-T1). The Boox i62 features a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels and users have 4GB of space to store all their digital content. Internal memory can be expanded via the MicroSD Card.

Interestingly enough, Onyx designed this eReader to run a customized version of Linux OS. Readers can download and enjoy basically any format you can think of: PDF, TXT, HTML, MOBI, EPUB, CHM, PDB, DOC, XLS or PPT files.

It appears Onyx hasn't revealed information regarding availability or price tag, but it's expected to be affordable.
