Feel you’d be more comfortable with an eReader boasting a larger screen? Onyx has just the thing for you, in the form of the recently launched 9.7-inch E-ink M96M Zeus eReader.

Even though most manufacturers today offer eReaders that come with compact form sizes which revolve around 6-inch, Onyx is giving large display readers a go, nevertheless.

Unlike many eReaders, the Zeus runs on Android software, namely Android 4.0, thus allowing users to have access to third-party Android eReader apps like Cool Reader and FBReader, according to the Digital Reader.

The device comes with an 825 x 1200 E Ink Pearl HD Display combined with 512MB of RAM and runs a 1 GHz Freescale i.MX6 Solo Lite processor fitted with 4GB of built-in storage. An SD card is also available.

Other functions include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 1600 mAh battery and the ability to read a variety of formats including ePUB, Mobi, TXT and HTML.

If these features sound good to you, you should know the device doesn't sell cheap at all.

Actually for the same price ($420 / €304), you could go ahead and find yourself a pretty nice Android tablet, but if you’re a hardcore digital reader, the Zeus might be something interesting to take into consideration. Sadly, the device currently sells only in Russia.
