Former “Baywatch” bombshell Pamela Anderson, perhaps inspired by her friendship with designer Richie Rich, has launched her own fashion line the other day. Though the event was a highly mediated one that included a tour of the US, in Miami the other night, the crowd was as scanty as Pamela’s dress, the Daily Mail reports.

In fact, there was barely a crowd to speak of, as only 20 people had come to attend the launch of the collection, which put Anderson in a very embarrassing position, the tab claims. It’s not for lack of trying that this happened, though, the publication goes on to say, as Pamela even attended the event in one of the designs included in the collection, one that clearly left very little to the imagination.

“With a new fashion line to plug, Pamela Anderson was hoping to get as much publicity as possible. But despite showcasing the designs herself in the tiniest of little black dresses in a chic Miami nightclub, her fashion show failed to bring in the crowds last night. The former Baywatch star, 41, was left red-faced when only 20 people were there to greet her as she turned up to the Play venue to watch her A*Muse fashion show,” the Mail writes.

“Anderson arrived wearing a black mini-dress with plunging neckline and asymmetrical hemline. The $25-a-head event had been advertised as a club night and fashion show co-hosted by Anderson and her designer pal Richie Rich. Fans willing to pay between $20,000 and $50,000 for the ‘Penthouse package’ hire of the VIP Penthouse Room at the club were offered the chance to party with Anderson after the show,” the same publication writes.

There were no takers for that last offer either, reports claim. All in all, the event was a very disappointing one, with Anderson showing off her fashion line to just a handful of people and failing to generate much interest, though her reputation and popularity might have indicated the contrary.
