The Start menu will be brought back by Microsoft sometime in the near future, but in the meantime, third-party apps doing the same thing are still extremely popular.

That's probably the main reason why software company Anvisoft decided to create its very own Start menu app called OneStart, obviously supposed to turn Windows 8 into a much more familiar working environment.

The feature lineup isn't too impressive, but it includes two different Start menu styles, a customizable Start button, power controls and hot corners, as well as a search option to quickly look for files.

“Anvi OneStart is designed and developed especially for Windows 8 users. Windows 8 dose not have a start menu like other windows operations systems such as Windows 7, Windows XP and this makes some of the computer users feel confused and unaccustomed. Anvi OneStart is here to help those computer users handle this situation,” the app description reads.

The program was specifically designed to work on Windows 8, but it seems to be fully compatible with newer versions of Microsoft's modern operating system as well.

Overall, this is clearly a good tool for those hoping to get a more familiar working environment, so download OneStart for Windows 8 right now to see what it's up to.
