There could be another smartphone launch by year's end

We already know that the next OnePlus flagship smartphone will be launched in Q3 2015 because the company confirmed the information last month.

However, we didn't expect the Chinese handset maker to unveil it so early in Q3. According to Chinese media, OnePlus has a press event in July where everyone believes the company is likely to introduce its OnePlus 2 flagship smartphone.

But that's not all the information we got on the OnePlus 2, as the Chinese OEM plans to continue with the low cost pricing policy for its high-end devices.

In this regard, word has it that OnePlus 2 will be launched in China for just 1999 yuan, which is about $320 or €285. However, the pricing for the international version of OnePlus 2 might be a bit higher, though not by much.

Chinese media also claims that OnePlus will launch an additional smartphone with more powerful features than the OnePlus 2, by the end of this year. But that will probably depend on how well the sales of its upcoming flagship smartphone will go.

Snapdragon 810 CPU and 3GB RAM are among the possible specs

There aren't too many details on the OnePlus 2's specs, but there are some speculations claiming that the smartphone might be packed with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processor, which isn't that good since the chipset has serious overheating issues.

Moreover, the OnePlus 2 is expected to come with at least 3GB of RAM inside, as well as 16GB or 64GB, depending on the model.

Since the previous OnePlus smartphone does not have microSD card slot inside, there's a high chance the sequel won't have one either.

We also believe the device will boast a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that would support full HD (1080p) resolution, as well as a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

Take this list of possible specs with a grain of salt, though, until more info leaks in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more details on the matter.
