As part of the SkyDrive rebranding process, Microsoft also renamed the SkyDrive Pro client offered to Windows 8.1 users in the Modern UI, so today a new version of the app was shipped to users.

Simply called OneDrive for Business, the new application packs basically the same features as the previous build, but it’s actually supposed to fight confusion and better emphasize its purpose.

As you could easily guess by simply reading its name, OneDrive for Business is aimed at users who own a business account on Microsoft’s very own OneDrive cloud-based storage service, allowing them to upload and download files with ease without leaving the Modern UI.

The application comes with an unchanged feature lineup that includes options to browse your files, access the most recently used items, share files with your colleagues, add more files to the account using your Windows 8.1 PC or tablet, open documents, photos and videos and even edit your documents in Microsoft Office.

Of course, OneDrive for Business is offered free of charge and comes with a freeware license for both desktop computers and tablets running either Windows 8.1 or Windows RT 8.1.

Overall, this is clearly a must-have app for all users owning a business account for the service, so download OneDrive for Business right now to see what’s new.
