One iPod for Every New Car

Do I have to say again that the iPod rules the digital players' world? No matter how often you hear this, it's a
reality that you must accept. After all, a lot of other things that are not proved at all are accepted and very popular, and the iPod's reality is backed up with numbers and facts. One of these facts is the existence of more and more accessories to help you go workout, hunt or even swim with your iPod, and you shouldn't be a genius to figure out that the iPod docking stations for cars are more and more popular these days...

Mopar is a well known company that produces original equipment for Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep, also providing service from factory-trained technicians, but we're not going to talk about adding NOS to your car or new suspensions now. One of the accessories produced by Mopar since 2006 is the iPod Integration Kit, and the main purpose of this device is to provide direct connectivity between your iPod and your vehicle's audio sound system, but it's not limited to that. The problem is that the integration kits designed in 2006 may not work with all new cars released in the meantime, so it was time for a little update...

Right after passing into this new year, Mopar expanded the availability of its iPod Integration Kits for most Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles, so now, more drivers can browse their player's playlists using the audio system or built-in steering wheel controls. These kits are also able to continuously charge any iPod connected to the system, no matter if the device is turned on or off, as well as display track names on the radio display face, but that depends on the radio's model, of course.

The "Can-B Integrated" kit is priced at 215$, while "J-1850 Integrated" will take 180$ out of your account, and they are available for purchase and installation at Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealerships across the US. All you need to enjoy these accessories is an iPod mini, iPod photo, iPod nano, or a video iPod and, of course, a car!

I recently had the "Can B Integrated" iPod integration kit installed in my 2007 Jeep Compass. However, my 4G iPod nano, 3rd generation will not connect to the integration kit. When plugged in, the iPod screen shows the apple insignia, then the Jeep logo, then the Chrysler logo, and back through the cycle again. My son has an older iPod (I believe an iPod classic 30G) and it works perfectly!
I am confused as to why a 2007 Jeep, with a 2007 integration kit is not compatible with a 2007 iPod!
