A new online destination from Microsoft is designed to help streamline the deployment of a suite of the company’s Cloud-based offerings. Earlier this week, the software giant introduced the “Deploying Business Productivity Online Suite” page, set up to be a one-stop-site for customers looking to embrace BPOS. The promise from the Redmond-based company is that Microsoft Online Services provide the necessary tools to help customers migrate into the Cloud and away from on-premise deployments without putting a strain on existing resources.

“The new deployment page will be a one-stop-shop for prospective and existing partners and customers to find BPOS standard deployment resources, guidance and support,” revealed a member of the Microsoft Online Services Team.

“Deploying the Business Productivity Online Suite” is an excellent starting point for companies that are only beginning to plan moving to the Business Productivity Online Suite. Content available ranges from links to company partners that can help with the deployment to partner solutions. At the same time, customer case studies can be accessed from the page, unveiling the experiences of companies that have already embraced BPOS.

Microsoft will continue to advance the “Deploying the Business Productivity Online Suite” page with additional content in the near future. The company plans to also integrate the latest deployment news available, but also make it easier for customers to find deployment partners, and link to as much TechNet content as possible.

The Microsoft Online Services Team representative offered some “highlights of this first release of the page:

•Introducing the Microsoft Online Deployment Guide for Standard Service (MODG). The MODG is a comprehensive guide to deploying BPOS standard. •Links to ‘Migration and Synchronization Help and How-To’ as well as the ‘Setup Accelerator’ deployment help wizard •Links to the Pinpoint marketplace to find partners for deployment •Links to partner solutions that fill current gaps in our product feature-set •Links to TechNet deployment forums.”
