Too many semicolons

15:01. The LucasArts logo is very cool, with the little yellow guy throwing the light saber right at you and then going for a bit of Force lightning.

15:03. Ahhh, loading times, how I hate them! Give me the Force!

15:10. Force training is interesting, but the throwing mechanic seems a bit complicated. I suspect most throwing properly in the game will be done with low accuracy and with just a general idea of where you want the thrown object to go. The camera surely does not help and the inversion mechanic is somehow wrong.

15:20. The idle animations of the apprentice are very nice. Too bad he says nothing interesting while playing around with his light saber. On the other hand, his "gangsta" grip is really annoying. I guess it is that way to balance the sheer cool factor of being able to throw the weapon just like a boomerang.

15:30. The Force is cool, especially with the added bonus of the Havok engine. Breaking through doors with containers that are conveniently left lying around is very satisfying, whether you are a Star Wars fan or not. The light saber battles are also cool, mainly that move which involves jumping and then landing with a vengeance and a Force shock to all those around you. There are some enemies that carry around rapid firing weapons which can be annoying, but overall there's no real issue until you get to take on the bipedal walker AT-ST and you learn to love fighting while jumping just to get away from the highly annoying and, dare I say it, unrealistic Force stomp that the boss has. Again, the camera seems to be unable to follow all I'm doing.

15:40. OK, I died a couple of times, taken down by the rapid fire laser which seems to hit me just as I get in a successful attack run and try to get away from the AT-ST, or chicken walker (pretty unflattering term for an instrument of the Emperor's will, if you ask me). I do believe I need to get the red thing that increases my damage potential.

15:45. Come on, LucasArts, after the highly entertaining run, you make me take out the AT-ST through a series of basically quick time events? I don't like it one bit. I get the fact that cool finishing moves do not come out of nowhere, but maybe you should offer me more ways of getting at the thing. Something like the climbing on monsters that takes place in Shadow of the Colossus.

15:50. Well, the demo ended before the one hour mark. I think I might actually end up liking the game. Even if some things are a little no quite there, the general feel of the game is good, with the Force being unleashed in interesting ways.

PS: Starkiller is just wrong as the name of the main character. You can basically smell the tween angst in the air...
