You would probably not be able to tell by just looking at them, but the boys of One Direction are capable of such nasty insults that they warrant equally nasty Twitter tirades. Just ask Wolfgang Van Halen.

The bassist for the legendary group Van Halen, son of rocker Eddie Van Halen, took to his Twitter feed the other day to say that One Direction insulted him and the band, in passing, in a hotel lobby.

More followed.

“Fun fact: Was just insulted by that [expletive]-y boy band #OneDirection in the lobby of our hotel this morning! Greetings Birmingham!” Wolfgang announced.

Because no one could actually believe that Van Halen had just been insulted by One Direction (out of all the bands in the world!), Wolfgang came back with more details.

“No joke. That ACTUALLY happened. That group of kids in #OneDirection were [expletive]-heads to @IIEROCKII @GWDrums and I,” he wrote, following that up with a hair joke: “They must call themselves that because all of their hair points #OneDirection.”

So far, silence on the One Direction front, so we have no other choice but just to imagine what they must have said to really get on Wolfgang’s nerves like that.
