Gadgets with a retro look are definitely cool, especially if they have a steampunk-touch, further amplifying their old heritage and even adding a note of mystery to everything they stand for. And if these gadgets are made to work with modern, state-of-the-art technology, things are even better, because there are a lot of people using high-tech equipment but who are, at the same time, quite fond of early technology. Therefore it's a true pleasure to introduce to you one iPod dock that will surely draw your attention: a very retro box that looks like no other.

One of the neatest things about this iPod dock is the fact that it boasts an almost luxurious look yet with absolutely no gold or diamond frills.

Some could say that the shape of this iPod dock is rather blunt, but in this case they'd be missing its very nature – we're talking retro here, aren't we? The polyhedral edgy box is made from Cherry wood and comes with white sawing on the leather trims, and antiqued brass buttons; even more, the whole design has two old-fashioned ring-handles for a more authentic look.

Now, the iPod cradle is placed on the top of the box, like in most other docks and it will let you play your fav tunes and charge the Apple player at the same time. The dock comes with a handy AM/FM radio that will also allow you to tune in to your favorite stations, while on the functionality side the whole thing is completed by an alarm clock that can wake you up to radio or iPod; and of course, you also get a snooze function.

This retro iPod dock comes with a backlit LCD and handy, intuitive buttons so you can instantly access any needed function. And for a price under $80, this nifty piece of retro technology can be the perfect present for a friend or even become your audio tool of choice for your bedside table or your office.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
