Let me just start this by saying that I have nothing personal against Debra Messing. On the contrary, I really liked her as Grace from 'Will & Grace', but her outfit in these photos is clearly something that would make her a good friend of Kirsten Dunst. Yes, to Kiki herself, the ultimate fashion-challenged actress of our times, a woman that can clean up and look presentable only when a team of at least twenty stylists is working on her. For a minimum of eight hours!
Debra is just your regular star who doesn't take herself too seriously (a la Paris Hilton, for instance, who happens to be the epitome of self-centered, self-absorbed, completely ridiculous and totally irrelevant 'star') - a woman, wife and mother who happens to have a job in the entertainment industry. However, her fashion choices, at least in this particular instance, leave a lot to be desired. From the Roman/gladiator inspired sandals that are clearly one number too small, to the outfit and the obvious lack of a bra, everything is extremely wrong.
In fact, the whole thing is so wrong that I'm almost surprised Kiki didn't think of it first - you know she would have worked it like no other! But Debra can do better, if her public appearances are any indication in that sense. Although I can't but appreciate that she's going for the natural look and that she even took the time from her shopping to wave to the paparazzi and implicitly to her fans (a thing that Kiki wouldn't do if her life depended on it), only a blind man could understand why she would dress like that to go out in the town.
First off, the fact that her shirt/top/dress/whatever-it-is is so low cut and that she's definitely not wearing a brassiere, there's like one major boob slip just waiting to happen. And, for once, I do not find any joy in the thought. Secondly, I know every woman (or practically almost every woman on the face of the planet) has cellulite but that doesn't mean that, if you have it, you really have to show it to everybody. It's like having underwear and really wanting to show people on the street what color they are... no, you simply do your best to keep it away from prying eyes. So, then, pants is the way to go for Debra. Definitely!
On the other hand, there is one good thing about these pics and that is that women all over the world can breathe easy: stars are not immune to their problems. Even more, the next time I'm gonna ask my man if I have cottage cheese skin and he'll hesitate, like, two seconds before answering 'No, dear, of course you don't', you know what will go through my mind - 'If Debra has it too, then it's OK!'. Or, I'll kick his stupid a*s for not paying attention to my needs as a woman. Especially since I'm so slim and skinny that even Nicole Richie once said she was jealous of my weight. *evil laugh*
