Once a Bunny, Always a Bunny

I bet you guys never thought that charity work would be so much fun, both for us good people sitting at home and for the person who's doing all the work. Case in point: Jenny McCarthy over the weekend. Some of you know Jenny as one of Playboy's favorite models, some of you from back in her MTV glory days and some... well, some just know her for her rocking body and for the fact that she's not ashamed to show it to the entire world.

What few of you know about Jenny is probably that she is also a mother of a little boy with autism and that most of her actions are nowadays oriented towards helping other mothers who find themselves in similar situations and to raising awareness and money to find a solution for them. With this in mind, the former Playboy bunny has even written a book, participated at various meetings on autism and has done her best to impart what she has learned first-hand about the disease to other struggling mothers.

And now, this: Jenny agreed to put on her bunny outfit all over again and to participate in a charitable event, in the hope of raising more money for the cause. Dressed in the trademark black ensemble, Jenny became the first celebrity dealer at the Las Vegas Playboy Club and all the money she made from tips (which was about $3,000, some sources claim) she donated to the one of the organizations that deal with autism. Talk about a new approach to charity!

Apparently, Jenny's shift began at nine in the evening and ended a little over midnight, when she packed the bunny outfit and gracefully retired. Say what you will about her not-so-common means of raising money but you can't deny that, even after all these years, Jenny still rocks the hell out of that bunny. Also, what she's doing is way more than what other so-called celebrities are doing for charity, despite their many promises that they would get more involved. Not naming any names, of course, but here's a hint: it begins with a P and ends in -aris Hilton.

So, here's to Jenny! While we can't but hope that she will succeed in all her endeavors (this one included), we certainly can't hold back from thinking she should do this more often!
