OnLive Desktop Available for Download, Puts MS Office on Your iPad

OnLive Desktop, the service that provides a seamless cloud-based PC desktop experience on your iPad, is now available to download.

The software is said to deliver a high-performance PC experience, regardless of the content. It puts Microsoft Office apps on your iPad (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and lets you transfer files between OnLive Desktop and other devices.

A Desktop Pro version is also on the developer’s roadmap. It will offer 50 GB of cloud storage, priority access, full-featured cloud-accelerated browsing, and support for additional Windows apps.

You can sign up for an OnLive account right here. It’s a standard plan which offers 2 GB of secure cloud storage and access to a cloud-based Windows 7 desktop pre-populated with Microsoft’s Office suite, as well as games and several utility apps. The software is free and requires iOS 4.3 or later.
