The Omni Group has announced OmniFocus for iPad, a $39.99 app now available on the iTunes App Store. A popular task management application, the iPad edition of OmniFocus syncs with OmniFocus for iPhone and OmniFocus for Mac, and offers an array of professional features for both experienced users, and novices.

"We didn't just bring the iPhone edition of OmniFocus for iPad, we redesigned OmniFocus to provide the best mobile task management experience possible," said Ken Case, founder and CEO of the Omni Group, according to MacDailyNews. "Everything from fast data capture to built-in reviewing has been developed with iPad in mind. As a standalone app it's got everything you need for fine-grained task management, and now you can also maintain your OmniFocus database whether you're on your phone, your iPad, or your desktop computer."

A couple of new features are available for the iPad version of OmniFocus, one of which is Forecast, a function that displays a weekly view of due items. Users can selectively focus on one day at a time, display only overdue tasks, or view an entire week's worth of to-dos as one list. A built-in Review mode is the second new addition. This function streamlines the process of reviewing existing projects, according to the app’s makers. Thanks to the Review mode, each project can be evaluated and its status updated while reviewing.

Key features of OmniFocus for iPad, as listed by The Omni Group on iTunes, include:

- Quick Entry for fast, easy task capture - Task inbox where items can be stored for future processing - Detailed task options like start and due dates, repeating schedules, and audio note and photo attachments - Organize tasks into projects and folders, with as much hierarchy as is needed - Categorize and view tasks by contexts, or work modes (ie, "Phone" for all phone call-related to-dos) - Subtasks, for breaking large tasks into manageable steps - Built-in search for locating any task in your database - Cloud sync: synchronize with OmniFocus for Mac and OmniFocus for iPhone - Location-based contexts: the Map makes it easy to generate and view tasks based on current or assigned locations - Forecasts: see a weekly or daily view of all due tasks - Built-in reviewing that helps you stay current on all your projects - Free customer support via email or phone

Located in the Productivity section of the Apple App Store, OmniFocus for iPad requires iOS 3.2 or later and is solely compatible with the Apple tablet. Use the link below to download the software now.
