The Omni Group has launched OmniFocus 2, the company’s pro-level task management productivity app for OS X customers featuring “everything you need to seriously get stuff done,” according to the official announcement.

With OmniFocus 2 users can clarify goals as Projects and break them down into manageable Actions, assign context to their tasks (place, people, and any other type of notes), use Forecast to see the actions and Calendar events with options to assign due dates, assess and update your projects with an all-new Review mode, and capture urgent tasks with Quick Entry.

OmniFocus for iPhone and iPad can be synced back to the Mac, users can collect data from “anything that can send email” according to the developers, and some items will be automatically added to your OmniFocus Inbox for peace of mind. Other new abilities include printing reports and controlling the badges and notifications for upcoming tasks.

According to The Omni Group, “The OmniFocus Pro in-app purchase adds tools to help you be even more productive - use custom perspectives and focus to fine-tune your views, and apply the power of AppleScript to supercharge your workflow.”

OS X 10.9.2 or later is required to download OmniFocus 2, along with a 64-bit processor. The software sells for $39.99 in the US and €35.99 across Europe.
