According to trusted sources, the camera should sell for $650 / €477

We already knew Olympus has a new Micro Four Thirds camera dubbed the PEN E-PL7 in the pipeline, which is expected to make an appearance soon enough.

And back in May, the preliminary specifications of the upcoming model arrived into the wild giving us a glimpse at what we could expect.

A bunch of pages from the user manual of the upcoming product also made their way online, suggesting the E-PL7 will be somehow akin to the low-end Olympus OM-D E-M10 Micro Four Thirds camera.

Since then, we didn't hear much about the camera, but according to fresh leaks coming out of Asia, it appears the mirrrorless camera will soon make an appearance into the wild.

Information coming from trusted sources (via DigiCame) is also providing us with the price range future customers will be able to pick up the camera for. According to them, the E-PL7 will arrive in retail with a price-tag of $650 / €477.

If you want to use the camera with a single zoom lens kit, you will have to take an additional $800 / €588 or $950 / €698 out of your pocket for a dual zoom lens kit.

As for the specs, the Olympus PEN E-PL7 camera should arrive with a 16MP Micro Four Thirds image sensor with a sensitivity range between ISO 200 and ISO 256000.

The mirrorless interchangeable lens device will take advantage with an autofocus system with 81 focus points with continuous shooting mode of up to 8fps. The shutter speeds have a minimum of 60 seconds and a maximum of 1/4000 the of a second, so action photographers should be able to use the camera, as well.

Although being inspired by the E-PL6, the Olympus PEN E-PL7 will sport more buttons on its back and will come with a 3-inch 1,040K-dot articulated LCD touchscreen. Moving on, the camera will come with built-in Wi-Fi and be compatible with Eye-Fi, SD/SDHC/SDXC and UHS- I cards.

The E-PL7 should have a stereo microphone, while a flash sync speed of 1/250 seconds will give users the chance to attach external guns to the camera.

Olympus should release the new mirrorless interchangeable lens camera with three different paint-job options including black, white and silver.

While we wait for the new Olympus PEN E-PL7 to make an appearance into the wild, you should know the soon-to-be-predecessor, the PEN E-PL6 can be purchased off Amazon for the price of $630 / €463.
