
For the first time, wireless customers can experience the excitement and energy of one of New York's hottest events, Olympus Fashion Week, simply by using their
wireless phone. Cingular announced it will offer customers an insider's view of what is one of the most anticipated and celebrated events in the fashion world, where designers from across the country gather in New York City for one week to show their runway collections to buyers, celebrities, members of the media.
From September 8-15, "The Daily Front Row," published by global sports,
entertainment
and media company IMG, will provide Cingular customers with an inside look into Fashion Week. From their Cingular phone, customers can enjoy exclusive, up-to-the-minute access to designer shows, models, elite parties and news on the latest fashion trends.
"Fashion Week is no longer only for the fashion elite. Now all Cingular customers can have a front row seat from their wireless
handsets," said Marc Lefar, chief marketing officer for Cingular Wireless. "With Olympus Fashion Week, Cingular is once again providing true quality entertainment exclusively for the wireless phone. 'The Daily Front Row' will provide our customers with an experience they could normally have only if they were there in person."
Cingular's
3G customers will have access to runway and behind-the-scenes video footage during the week through the Cingular Video service. Cingular's relationship with IMG Fashion gives Cingular customers access to a year-long series of fashion events, including exclusive
mobile access to the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Los Angeles; Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai, India; Australia Fashion Week in Sydney and Melbourne; and Sunglass Hut Miami Swim Shows Miami presented by Lycra.
To access Cingular Video content, consumers need to purchase a
3G phone and sign up for the $19.99 MEdia Net Unlimited package.
