Yesterday, Nippon optics and camera manufacturer Olympus has finally revealed its latest entry-level interchangeable lens camera, the E-M10, which packs quite a few interesting features under the hood at an affordable price.

Among its 16MP sensor borrowed from E-M5 and the same TruePic VII image processor that can be found in the high-end E-M1, Olympus E-M10 also comes with a new feature called focus peaking that was previously available only on the E-M1 model.

According to CamerasReviews, Olympus is planning to bring this function to E-M5 owners through a future firmware update. For those who don't have a clue what Focus Peaking is, you should know that, when using this option, the camera will highlight the objects that are in focus with the press of a button.

For the moment, we can't tell when this firmware update will be available for download, since the latest E-M5 firmware version released yesterday has only expanded the current ISO range of the camera and added a small AF target to the AF target settings menu.
