Olympus aims to give a helping hand to noob photographers

These days photography is a passion that most of us embrace. But what if even as inspiration strikes, the desired output isn't what you have imagined it to be. Where did you go wrong?

In moments such as these, the guiding hand of a mentor might come in handy. But not all of us have knowledgeable people to turn to for advice.

This is something camera gear manufacturer Olympus is well aware of, and in order to help those looking to master the art of photography, it's announcing the launch of a series of videos called “Anywhere Classroom.”

Much like in the vein of Nikon’s “Behind the Scenes” series of educative videos, Olympus will be showing various tips, tricks and techniques for taking pics in several environments.

The first three videos launching under the “Anywhere Classroom” banner have been made available. In the first video, we get to follow Jay Dickman around, explaining how to shoot landscapes using the OM-D E-M1.

The other two episodes are entitled “Shooting Nature” and “Shooting Wildlife.” A second season has been planned for fall 2014 and noob photographers will receive tips for light painting and night-shooting.

The clips are quite short, but if you have a few moments to spare, you’ll certainly find something interesting to pick up.
