Samsung is getting prepared for the 2008 Beijing Olympics with the launch of three new mobile phone models. This comes as part of the Olympic Games Campaign which supports this edition of the contest.

"As an official partner of the Olympic Games for wireless communications equipment, Samsung contributes significantly to the Olympic Games by delivering leading wireless communication technologies, services, and support through the Wireless Olympic Works program. Samsung will go that extra mile to support the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games," said Geesung Choi, president and CEO, Telecommunication Network Business of Samsung Electronics.

All three phone models feature high-end performances in some unique designs. Samsung E848 is an elegant, delicate-looking sliding handset which is meant to provide high capabilities in a slim and appealing case. The other two models, Samsung P318 and U308 have been presented in fewer details, although they also have an interesting design. Although not as stylish as the E848 model, these two feature a more modern and practical aspect which might appeal to many people.

Moreover, Samsung plans on introducing their WOW program in order to increase the awareness of the brand name and the Beijing Olympics as well. This means that they will distribute text messages related to this competition as well as several other services. As a part of this, customers will also be able to benefit from customized SMS and business information for flexible applications.

Samsung has taken high interest in this edition of Beijing's Olympics. Aside these newly launched phone models, the company has also thought of a series of events which will take place. This is meant to make their products more popular, with an emphasis on the wireless enabled ones. Their efforts will be easy to see in the area of the Relay Mainland China Sector, which is just on the torch route.
