14 DAY TRIAL // Aly Raisman and pro dancing partner Mark Ballas came out on top on Dancing With the Stars this week, thanks to their impressive Contemporary Dance routine. Check it out above in full.
The theme of the night was the best year of the contestants’ life, and Aly obviously chose 2012 because this was the year she got to go to the Olympics as part of the US gymnastics team.
Aly and Mark danced to “Titanium” and earned warm praises from the judges – and a high score of 27 out of a possible 30.
“Forget about titanium, you are going for gold,” an excited Bruno Toniolli told Aly.
And, indeed, if only for the week, Aly won gold: she and Mark were first, followed by Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy, and Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough, both with 26 points.
