Developer Roll7 announces that the follow-up to the acclaimed arcade skateboarding game OlliOlli, OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood, is coming out on PlayStation platforms at the beginning of March.

The initial game was quite a hit, and the indie team behind it improved every possible aspect of the game with the sequel.

In addition to the overhauled visuals that make the game look much better on bigger screens, the team has also greatly expanded the arsenal of tricks players are able to pull.

The original was an unforgiving experience that demanded a ton of dexterity, and if you want to learn more about what made it great, you can check out our review of OlliOlli.

Now, Roll7 wants to take things to the next level, with bigger levels that feature massive air, a lot of new tricks, improved grinds and transfers, manuals, reverts, grind switching, and a ton of other stuff.

The team's goal was to provide players with more control and expression than ever before, and the levels feature an improved overall flow, as well as split routes and even secret areas that only the most dedicated players will be able to explore and make use of to rack up massive amounts of points.

A ton of new and exciting additions

Furthermore, the game features an all-new soundtrack that is guaranteed to get your blood pumping while scoring impressive combos in the hills of Olliwood, and a larger variety of environments to keep things fresh.

One of the biggest game-changers is the addition of a split-screen local multiplayer mode, which will finally allow you and your friends to decide who is the ultimate arcade skater.

OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood is coming out on the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 computer entertainment systems from Sony on March 3 in North America and March 4 in Europe. There is no word on the game's PC edition yet.

The original OlliOlli will also arrive on the Xbox One home console from Microsoft and on the Wii U and 3DS devices from Nintendo sometime later this year.
