14 DAY TRIAL // Roll7, the developer of acclaimed arcade skateboarding game OlliOlli, announces that its upcoming project, a sort of two-dimensional cover-based shooter, titled Not a Hero, is coming out this May.
The indie studio says that PC gamers will be able to enjoy its quirky ultra-violent game in May, and that the game is also coming to the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 gaming devices from Sony, sometime later this year.
Not a Hero stars a regular fellow named Steve, who is recruited by an anthropomorphic rabbit from the future in order to help him in his political campaign. As running for Mayor is no easy thing, especially when the city streets are riddled with crime, you will have to become a murderous vigilante.
BunnyLord, your master, will also recruit a number of other dubious heroes in order to make sure that the city cleansing campaign goes as planned.
You will have to dive into the city's criminal underworld guns first, comb three different districts, and persuade people to vote for BunnyLord.
Another pixelated, ultra-violent game
The best way to tackle the different issues you come across is to stick a gun into their mouth, and you have to make BunnyLord proud.
You can shoot, slide, dive and take cover, in a unique two-dimensional setting that is slightly tilted towards the third dimension, just enough for you to be able to take cover from incoming bullets.
Roll7 is also currently working on OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood, a follow-up to its arcade skateboarding game, coming with a wide range of improvements, even more difficult to pull off tricks, more varied environments, and split-screen local multiplayer.
The game is coming to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita devices sometime during Q1 2015, and the original OlliOlli is currently on its way to the Nintendo Wii U, 3DS, and the Xbox One home entertainment system from Microsoft.
