As she explains to Jay Leno, she became Beliebers’ number one enemy when she dared suggest on Twitter that he put a shirt on when out and about.
Since then, she’s been receiving thousands of hateful messages, most of which she wouldn’t even dream of reproducing in public.
However, she does read a few of them – and it’s almost surprising how lightly she takes everything. You gotta love a girl with a healthy sense of humor.
“One of them was, ‘are you a lesbian or are you too old?’ And it’s great, because it’s a question I never asked myself before,” she jokes.
“This one was interesting: ‘Put your shirt over your mouth.’ Which, I’m assuming, is a Shakespearean insult,” Wilde adds.
