Olivia Wilde, known to many of her fans as Thirteen from the TV medical drama “House M.D.,” is the hottest woman of 2009, Maxim magazine was saying a while ago. Wilde is also a very stylish woman, the kind critics say will one day be entitled to the ultimate distinction of “style icon.” To begin with, the actress is willing to speak of style with Lucky Magazine.

Although she usually likes to keep a very low profile, there are times when Wilde is willing to talk about herself. Whether out of shyness or because she greatly values her privacy, the actress rarely does interviews – but, they say, when she does, she doesn’t hold anything back. For the upcoming issue of Lucky, Wilde rings the curtain up on what makes her such an elegant woman.

To achieve her unique look, Olivia has constructed for herself a fashion alter-ego, with hopes she will one day get to actually become her in terms of style. “I find myself constantly pretending I’m a chic Parisian. I even dream of buying a Balmain jacket with really sharp shoulders. If I can pull off that look, I will have succeeded, at least partially, in my quest,” the actress says.

Another thing that she reveals for the mag and, at the same time, to all the women who aspire to copy her look, is that she’s always looking for a good bargain. Women, no matter how rich they are or not, will always love if they can get something for less the value – as also do men. This is why stores are so crowded during sales season, and Olivia Wilde is no exception, telling Lucky she does have certain stores where she’s always looking out for sales.

Nevertheless, a good bargain can mean more than a price cut. “Coats from H&M are inexpensive and usually have something extra going on – so even with a simple sheath dress, your outfit is still interesting,” Wilde says when asked about which is her favorite bargain haunt.
