Actress Olivia Munn is on the cover of the February 2011 issue of Maxim, which in itself is not unheard of. However, despite Munn’s history with men’s magazine, this one breaks the mould: and should be banned for how scandalous it is.

The cover in question includes a shot of Munn in a low-cut top that she’s lifted to reveal her toned tummy (not pictured here). She’s also wearing a pair of lace boxers which, for some, are a bit too revealing.

In other words, because the boxers are made of lace, they allow a view of Munn’s anatomy, which should be enough to get this issue of the mag banned, Dan Gainor, Vice President of Business & Culture at the Media Research Center, says for Fox411.

As Gainor sees it, the issue in question is absolutely “disgusting” and should not be allowed on newsstands because children may happen to walk past it and see through Munn’s unmentionables.

Parents should act on this – and they should do so immediately, he says.

“Any store could have children coming in. If I were a parent, and I walked into a store and saw that cover, I would make a scene until the manager hid it,” Gainor explains for the same media outlet.

Maxim hasn’t yet responded to claims that it’s gone past scandalous with the latest issue, but, if it does, it will probably say what it did back when Wal-Mart banned it.

Fox411 points out that Maxim is no longer available at any Wal-Mart since 2003, when it made a decision to lend an ear to complaints from customers and associates and discontinued it.

Back then, the Maxim publisher, Stephen Colvin, said that he believed the decision was not even “rational.”

“I don't think that these decisions are often rational; they are subjective. For any men’s magazine to put a woman on the cover seems a bit troubling to (Wal-Mart),” Colvin said back then in an interview to New York Times.
