Here we go again, bringing back the good old times of the LGA 775 Intel socket and Pentium 4 processors. For this edition of Oldies But Goldies, we have prepared two Gigabyte boards which were quite cool at that time.

First of all, both GA-8AENXP Dual Graphic (rev. 1.x) and GA-8AENXP-DW (rev. 1.x) had 4 memory slots and could house up to 4 GB DDR2 running at either 400 or 533 Mhz, and the Front Side Bus could run at 1066 MHz.

Both boards had FireWire connectivity which was truly neat; too bad that a lot of modern boards are no longer endowed with 1394 ports. Even more, these older motherboards sported 2 connectors, letting you use 3 FireWire ports.

Nice to remember about the tweaking software which came bundled with the older Gigabyte boards: the C.I.A. 2 (CPU Intelligent Accelerator 2), M.I.B. 2 (Memory Intelligent Booster 2), M.I.T. (Motherboard Intelligent Tweaker), or the R.G.B. (Robust Graphics Booster). You've probably noticed some resemblance with notorious acronyms, haven't you?

Well, for all those still using the GA-8AENXP Dual Graphic (rev. 1.x) and GA-8AENXP-DW (rev. 1.x), we've loaded these drivers on our servers so that they'll never get lost.

We'll diversify the manufacturers' list as we are building up a database of older gear. If you can't find drivers for your device, drop us a line and we'll try to find it, but sadly, we can't promise we'll always succeed.
