14 DAY TRIAL // A simple search of Oksana Grigorieva’s name will reveal that she is not only Mel Gibson’s pregnant girlfriend and an aspiring singer, but also a former lingerie model, having apparently participated in a single shoot of the kind. The pics from that shoot are now out all over the Internet and Grigorieva is suing mad over them, claiming the photographer who took them had absolutely no right to sell them to a third party, as Radar Online informs.
In a lawsuit filed in Las Angeles just recently, Grigorieva claims the photos were taken in 2004 by Samuel Oriti. Oriti promised the “internationally renowned model, pianist and musical composer and performer” that he would land her a contract as a model for a major lingerie brand, and convinced her to pose for a photoshoot.
The contract never materialized, but Grigorieva fulfilled her half of the bargain – even more, she says in court documents, she even paid for the entire photoshoot in exchange for Oriti’s promise that he would never sell the pictures to anyone else if they did not land the lingerie gig.
“The lawsuit claims Samuel Oriti met Oksana in 2004 and told her he was trying to negotiate a deal for her with a prominent lingerie company. She participated in a photo session, based on his representations the suit claims, and modeled lingerie. Oksana also claims she paid for the shoot and that Oriti promised not to distribute the photos elsewhere.” Radar writes of the lawsuit.
Oriti instantly forgot his promise and went back on his word when rumor broke that Grigorieva was dating none other than famed director and actor (and one of the richest entertainers in showbiz at the moment) Mel Gibson, when interest for the aspiring singer peaked. He sold some of the photos for a lot of money, which was not part of the initial deal he made with Oksana – so she now wants him to pay damages and has taken the matter to court.
However, “The suit does not claim that there is any written agreement between Oriti and Oksana and it does not provide proof for her claim that she paid for the photo session. But Oksana does ask for more than $100,000.” Radar further writes.
