The Nintendo Wii port of the highly appreciated action adventure game Okami, initially launched as a PlayStation 2
exclusive, has recently been released and everybody is quite happy to get the chance to experience Amaterasu using the innovative Wii controllers.
Probably the most interesting and amusing thing related by the Wii launch of the game is a completely non-game related fact: the Okami cover had the watermark of a gaming website on when it was released. Later, Capcom decided to offer for free one of the three new covers to those who had bought the game.
"I can honestly say that my worst day at Capcom was this Monday. After releasing Okami for the Wii last week to some great reviews (Metacritic Average: 88), one of our Okami diehard fans discovered that the folks who work here at Capcom are, in fact, human and can make mistakes. I’m speaking of the watermark that appeared on the cover of Okami. It’s sadly one of those things that’s hard to spot if you don’t know what you’re looking for, but the moment you see it, it becomes obvious and stares you in the face," the official Capcom blog said at the time.
