Oil Rush, a unique blend of strategy and tower defense game, powered by the UNIGINE graphical engine, is now available to purchase for Linux platforms.

The developers of Oil Rush, Unigine Corp, have made the game available through the  UNIGINE Online Store, for the measly price of $19.95 (€15).

Oil Rush features a single player campaign and multiplayer via Internet or through LAN. Even if momentarily the game is only available in UNIGINE Online Store, it will be soon launched on other platforms such as Desura and Ubuntu Software Center.

The retail version of  Oil Rush, published by Iceberg Interactive in Europe will follow in a little while.

The requirements are reasonable and anyone with a decent computer will be able to run it. Oil Rush needs a minimum of 2 GHz CPU, 1 GB of memory, Nvidia GeForce 8600 (or ATI Radeon HD2600), 256 MB video memory, and 3 GB free hard disk space.

Oil Rush is also available on Steam, so if the famous digital distribution platform ever makes it to Linux, fans will be able to find the game there also.
