I think that we've all pretty much grown tired of the endless celebrity bikini pictures that usually come out this time of the year, when the rich and famous decide to kill two birds with one stone: escape into some exotic paradise and relax after a long hard year, and keep us entertained by donning their best swim wear and exposing themselves to the always eagerly-expecting paparazzi. Well, they do that as long as their name is not Britney Spears, 'cause we all know what happens when that girl decides she needs attention. The fact is, it seems like every female celebrity in particular has decided to show off her bikini body on some beach somewhere in the world, and nine times out of ten I'd say this is very good news. But there's always that one photo and that one celebrity that makes my head spin and makes me wonder.
And here is a shot of Sarah Jessica Parker getting a little beach-side rest and relaxation. Wait - rewind. OK, I officially have a dilemma now: is that a swim suit Sarah is wearing? Or did she just grab a pair of her husband's boxers, put on a random bra and set off for the beach? I'm not getting it - is this supposed to be the ultimate chic? 'Cause I'm sure someone got things a little mixed up somewhere. I really like the blue bikini bottoms - they look so... plain unisex. I know it's a mean thing to say, but Sarah was voted the world's least sexy female celebrity by Maxim - so why be surprised? Well, I am nevertheless... a little intrigued that we're dealing with someone who's supposedly a world-wide fashion icon and yet doesn't seem to mind stepping out wearing something that looks a little old-fashioned to say the least.
I keep looking at this picture and I can't shake the feeling that I'm looking at a 12 year-old girl who snook her mother's old bikini and went to the beach for the first time. Actually, on second thought I'd say the saggy stomach skin points to someone a little older than 12 and who's tired of making outrageous fashion statements. I would probably dare to say the same thing about her milky-white skin and overall air of "don't look at me, I'm just a regular girl having fun". Well, there has to be an end for unruly fashion icons, right? Too bad it has to bring us such annoyingly un-sexy photos. Well, you can't blame a girl for wanting a break...
