Oh, the Drama: Jessica About to Be Dumped... Again

Well, maybe it's just not meant to be... again

I'm sure no one told Tony Romo that when he started dating Jessica Simpson, it would be a very sordid affair indeed. I mean, Jessica is not only one lady who loves herself so much that she simply can't see why anyone would want to break up with her - she's also one lady who doesn't take kindly to being dumped by her boyfriend, whoever that boyfriend is. I'm sure that if you look up "clinger" in the dictionary, you're sure to find a picture of the blonde disaster with the mention "not to be approached except with maximum caution". And quite frankly, if this wasn't very funny, I'd probably feel a little sorry for her. They don't call her Jessica "The Jinx" Simpson for nothing though - and it would seem that the stress of the whole Dallas-Cowboys-being-kicked-out-of-the-play-offs affair is catching up with her latest catch, Dallas quarterback Tony Romo.

Tony, it would seem, really wants to break up with Jessica and the blonde bombshell won't have any of it. OK reports that Tony wanted to call it quits over the phone (I know, really classy) and called his soon-to-be-ex-girlfriend last week suggesting that they stop being romantically involved. "He said he thought it was better if they went back to being friends" a friend of Jessica reveals. "'Just friends' is not in Jessica's vocabulary, and she is not a victim. She knows how bad this will look in the media". What was I telling you about Jess being a serious jinx? I mean, you can't just force a guy into having a relationship with you - or at least that's what I thought - but you can definitely try. Tony's reply? The ultimate in passive-aggressive "I don't know how to dump her" strategy: he invited Jessica to go with him on a hunting trip.

"It's Tony's way of punishing Jess" her friend says. "Jessica Simpson hunting - and without her entourage? Forget it!" So, let me get this straight: Tony Romo can't shake Jessica off himself, but hopes that taking her on a hunting trip will make such a bad date that she will dump his a*s instead? Talk about going round in circles. Well, fingers crossed for Tony - but I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were him. I do have to wonder though - what made him see the light? Well, here's a thought. "Tony has finally started to realize how high-maintenance Jessica is. We're talking diva status. She comes with an entourage, and that includes her dad, Joe Simpson. What's not to love?" another insider adds. Point taken. Anyone got Jessica's number, maybe we can suggest that she shoots her dad instead - because only then will she be able to have a normal social life.
