Oh, Really? She Really Is Pregnant? This Just Can't Be True!

Jennifer Lopez has a little surprise for us all. In fact, a rather BIG surprise. I'm joking. No, not about the "big" part, about the part where all this is a surprise. You'll be happy to know that what was inevitable finally happened. No, people, this is not a Britney Spears post, and no, Brit didn't finally get her a*s into rehab. I'm talking pregnancy here, and not just the ordinary kind: Jennifer Lopez, boys and girls, has shocked her fans and finally confirmed that she is pregnant.

Now I know I spent a long time (about two months, if memory serves) wondering aloud about what was keeping J.Lo from admitting that she was knocked up. It even became a bit of an obsession in the end, and believe me, I think I pretty much came out with every possible explanation for it, from media stunt (which it probably was) to shyness to...well, media stunt again. The 'Do It Well' singer however finally showed some uncharacteristic mercy and ended weeks of speculation by telling fans at her Miami concert she is expecting her first child with husband Marc Anthony.

"Marc and I are expecting" J. Lo said. Latino singer and hubby Marc, who is on a joint tour with his wife, added: "I didn't know she was going to talk". Marc, who has three children from two previous relationships, then tenderly kissed her expanding stomach. So sweet, I almost cried. Joking. I hope the baby is healthy and everything works out just fine for them. Neither J.Lo nor Anthony did announce when the baby is due.

Jennifer's pregnancy has not only been increasingly visible over the past month, but it was also confirmed (more or less officially) by a string of people, including Marc's ex wife, one of J. Lo's ex husbands and J.Lo's friend, Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli. The latter was commissioned to create a selection of special outfits for the singer so she could hide her baby bump on tour. "At this moment Jennifer Lopez is requesting something very special because she is waiting for the baby. It is so complicated because every week she is getting bigger" he said at the time. Well, it's good news she finally came out with it, and even better news - just think about how big her chi chis will get. Really cool!
