I really hope someone out there - I don't know who at this point, but my money is on some benevolent alien life form (who doesn't want to play catch with the head of the Statue of Liberty) - will step in and prevent Jessica Simpson from getting her own reality show - again. I mean, really, I can understand some of the principles behind reality TV shows, I can see why some people would be fascinated with Jess and her many achievements in the world of, ahem, music and film, I can even admit that it's nice to have someone out there to make fun of just about any day of the week, but enough is enough! I mean, we really don't need to overdose on Jessica Simpson - and I think you'll agree it's best to keep our distance. They don't call her Jessica "The Jinx" for nothing, you know...
To all you Jessica lovers out there, no, the blonde disaster is NOT getting married again. I mean yes, I admit I may have watched a couple of episodes back when MTV was making it sound like 'Newlyweds' was the best reality show out there - but that was an experience I don't think many of us want to revisit. No, this time Jess is apparently in talks to show off her artistic struggles and her life as she records her famed country album. A representative for CMT network apparently stated: "We have had exploratory talks with Jessica's camp, but nothing has been confirmed or signed". Amen to than, I think. And of course, her annoyingly interfering father Joe had to put his two cents in and stirred the pot a little bit too.
"With 'Newlyweds' she let everyone into her world. Then she had to shut the world out. Now she can open it up again so people can see, here's a girl struggling with self-esteem and finding her way. Country music is about storytelling, after all" he stated. Which in a less pretentious, less pompous translation means that Jessica is in desperate need of some attention, because her personal life and her career are going nowhere fast - despite the fact that there are still some people out there who try to make us all think Jess is one mean businesswoman. "Jessica pays a great deal of attention to the cuts and shapes, in particular. She always questions how it would look on her and asks if it makes her look fat. If it does, it's a no-go. She knows what girls want and how to make everyone look their best" a representative for Jessica's clothing line recently stated. Yes, because Jessica Simpson is such an authority in all things feminine. In that case, I think I'd much rather watch a re-run of "Newlyweds" - and I totally mean that.
