The update’s size may vary depending on country and map

Windows Phone users living in certain regions may want to check their handsets for a possible Maps update that’s now available for download.

HERE Maps, the offline navigation solution offered by Nokia, has just received an update, which is available for download through each one’s smartphone.

Unfortunately, given the fact that the update does not come with an official changelog attached to it, it’s hard to determine what’s been improved and whether or not new features have been added.

It’s also worth mentioning that, depending on country and the amount of maps on the phone, the file size of the update may be smaller or larger.

In order to check if an update is available for HERE Maps, you must open the application and go to Settings. At the bottom of the Setting contextual menu, you will find the option to check for updates.

If you are living in a region where the update has been made available, you will be able to download it on your phone. The offline maps created by HERE are updated pretty often, so the current release doesn’t come as a surprise at all.

If you happen to own a Windows Phone handset and you have already received an update for HERE Maps, let us know in the comments section which maps you had stored on the smartphone.
