On March 9th 1997, Cristopher Wallace, stage name - Notorious B.I.G., the famous rap star and representative for the Afro-American modern music, got shot after a party at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles and died shortly after, at the age of 24.
Since then, his tragic unexpected death has inspired people from all fields like musicians, policemen and personalities of the social and political life. There were anthems composed and dedicated to him, friends from the rap scene hold concerts in his memory, dedicate albums to his memory or at least make reference to him in their lyrics.
Police, though, turned out to be less "inspired". The murderer hasn't been found yet and as time goes by, chances are even smaller. The 25.000 $ reward offered in 1997 didn't help too much. It expired without anyone having anything important to say about the murder.
But Dennis Zine, city councilman of Los Angeles, decided the investigations should go on and he offered a new 60.000 $ reward for anyone that might offer useful information about the incident. A new police team shall take up the case, in another attempt to resume the investigation.
