The hacker JokerCracker has taken credit for the breach

The official website of LG Mexico (lg.com.mx) has been breached and defaced by a hacker that goes by the name of JokerCracker.

The hacker didn’t replace the site’s index page. Instead, he added his own defacement page.

The hack was announced on Saturday, but the .html file added by the hacker was accessible until a few hours ago.

Coincidentally or not, a few hours ago, I sent out a couple of emails to LG in hope that they could provide some details regarding the breach.

So far, I haven’t heard back from them, but I’ll update this post when they respond.

Besides LG Mexico, the hacker has also taken credit for breaching the websites of several Mexican government organizations, including the Secretariat of Administration and Finances (secadminnayarit.gob.mx) and the National Institute for the Education of Adults (inea.gob.mx).

Over the past few hours, several Chinese government websites have also been targeted by  okerCracker.
