New trailer for 3D re-release doesn't bring anything new, but it's still pretty amazing

James Cameron spent over a year and $20 million (€14.8 million) on converting “Titanic” to 3D. The new version comes out in theaters in April 2012, and the fans are now treated with a first trailer.

For those who saw the movie way back when, it brings nothing new in terms of story or approach: we still have tragic lovers Jack and Rose falling in love before one of the greatest disasters in history takes place.

However, those who are fans of 3D movies can already tell which of the elements will stand out and, based on the trailer, they can even imagine how it's going to look.

Earlier this year, Cameron screened 18 minutes of the film for a very eager audience. Since then, reviews have been pouring in, saying “Titanic 3D” will definitely set the bar for 3D re-releases.

As a matter of fact, they underline, if you didn't see the original film, it's almost impossible to imagine it didn't come in native 3D.

“Titanic” is out in IMAX 3D and Real D 3D theaters on April 6, 2012.
