The first official photos of T-Mobile's upcoming G2 mobile phone have just emerged into the wild, enabling us to make a better idea on what the wireless carrier has in store for us.

It's a common fact that the T-Mobile G2 is the first handset the carrier brings to the market in the United States with HSPA+ connectivity on board.

Moreover, this is the first Android-based handset to sport these capabilities, while being delivered to shelves as the successor of the popular T-Mobile G1, the first ever Android smartphone.

The official photos with T-Mobile G2 emerged in a new post over at cellphonesignal, which claims that this handset might be released in a single color flavor, namely Silver.

This is something entirely different than what T-Mobile did with other mobile phones in the family, including the G1 or the Slide 3G, it seems.

However, the specifications list this device was previously rumored to land on the market with should remain the same, it seems.

Among them, we can count the 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, as well as the sliding landscape QWERTY keyboard.

Running under Google's Android operating system, the new handset should also pack HTC's Sense user interface, both powered by a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor.

The specifications list of this device also include a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, as well as 3G HSPA+ connectivity (with support for speeds of up to 11Mbps), and aGPS functionality.

Still on the connectivity side, the device should include Bluetooth 2.1 + Enhanced Data Rate, as well as Wi-Fi features, complemented by hotspot capabilities.

All in all, it seems that the upcoming T-Mobile G2 handset should prove a nice addition to the carrier's offering, just as we were previously expecting for it to be.

According to rumors, the phone should be released on shelves sometime before the end of the month, most probably on September 29, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
