Rumors about Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 getting the Android 4.4 KitKat update, have surfaced a while ago, but we had no official confirmation from Samsung.

Well, today the Korean tech giant finally announced which devices are scheduled to receive Android 4.4.2 treatment, reports AndroidCentral.

Turns out, Sammy is going to be updating most of its tablets, starting with the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition and covering the Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy Note 8.0 and the Galaxy Tab 3 series.

In the official statement, Sammy boasts the update will bring the KitKat-specific enhancements which other users have been enjoying so far, including the location menu, upgraded Google Mobile services and enhanced messaging experience, allowing users to opt between Messages or Hangouts as their default messaging app.

Samsung also notes updates begin today, but gives no indication of which devices are going to be hit first.
