Filipino customers will be left to order the device from outside the country

The Nokia Lumia 2520, first Windows RT tablet to be produced by the Finish company has been released for a while now and customers from the US, UK and other markets across the world can purchase it off retailers and carriers in their respective countries.

Unfortunately not all tableters will have an opportunity to grab the Nokia slate. Apparently NokiaRevolution received confirmations form Nokia’s General Manager for PAN Asia, Karel Holub won’t be bringing the product to the Philippines.

The main reason behind the decision is increased competition in the Windows 8 tablet market , not to mention the extremely cheap Android one. If Nokia decides to bring the slate to the country it will probably sell it for a pretty high price, compared to the competitive offerings coming from white-box vendors, and the company is just not willing to risk it.
