Microsoft has just released the official Outlook application for Android devices. With Microsoft Outlook, users will be able to access their email accounts on their Android phones while on the move.
Users will be able to get email messages with push notifications, sync with calendar and device contacts, or view and sync standard and custom folders, including sub-folders. It is also worth mentioning that the application supports multiple Outlook accounts.
Unfortunately, this version of Outlook app for Android devices is not what most of users would have expected. While it does its job well enough, it looks terrible.
Microsoft did not go with a metro UI for this official Outlook app and many features nicely implemented in
Windows 8 UI have been skipped or are hard to find.
The official Outlook app is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 – 2.3.3 and 4.0 – 4.1. Check it out
