The folks at BitTorrent have just released their first official torrent application for Windows Phone 7.5 and Windows Phone 8 devices.
Dubbed BitTorrent Remote, it allows users to access the application on their home computers while on the go. Devs claim users will only need to create a BitTorrent account from their PCs and they’re set, as there is no need for any network setups.
The main highlights of the application include:
- Add, remove, start, stop downloads on your home computer;
- Check download progress;
- Check your RSS feeds;
- Automatically add torrents to your home BitTorrent client from your mobile browser;
- Shift completed downloads to your Windows Phone device for local playback.
BitTorrent Remote 1.0.0 is now available as a free download via Windows Phone Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 7.5 and up, including Windows Phone 8. Check it out
