Although Sprint recently confirmed it would deploy an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for Samsung Epic 4G Touch devices by the end of the year, owners might as well root their phones and install the latest version of Google’s platform that has just leaked online.

The folks over at XDA Developers have just uploaded an official Android 4.0 ICS ROM for the Epic 4G Touch. There are two releases of the same FD24 build, but one provides a full restore that resets the phone, whereas the other preserves all user data.

Keep in mind that you will need to disable any PIN code that you might have previously set for your phone. Don’t forget to install Samsung USB/Android driver if it’s necessary.
