A dash-cam video of an officer stopping his car to play catch with a lonely kid in a Rosenburg neighborhood went viral, as people started to praise the man's kind-hearted attempt to help children from the community.

The footage shows how the officer stops his car at the sight of the kid and then tells him a few words just before taking the ball and starting tossing it to the young fellow. The kid passes it back and the two appear to have quite the fun for a few moments with the game of catch.

The Rosenberg Police Department posted the video on Facebook with the title “While a 2 minute game of football might not mean anything, to some it could mean everything!” And the video brought them their own local sensation as the officer's gesture made it all over the social media.

This is not the typical type of video you would expect a precinct to promote, but as the clip spread around social media, the locals started to pay more attention to the way their youngsters are treated.
