The final version of Office Live will be available on the US market starting on November 15, 2006. Concomitantly, the product will be launched in beta stage in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Japan. Office Live is not an online version of the Microsoft Office System, despite the name, but a set of web-based services designed for data and resource management.

Moreover, Office Live, debuting under the Microsoft Live brand umbrella, is a three level set of services including Office Live Basics, Essential and Premium. While Office Live Basics is available free of charge, Essentials comes with a price tag of $19.95 per month while Premium costs $39.95 per month. Both Essentials are an upgrade to Office Live Basics, in the same manner in which Premium is an upgrade to Essentials, each delivering a number of additional features.

Office Live Basics:

- a company domain name - a Web site with 500 MB of storage - advanced site reporting tools - 25 company-branded e-mail accounts (each with 2 GB of storage) and instant messaging accounts - calendaring through Microsoft Office Live Mail - Site Designer and the Microsoft Office Live adManager Beta.

Office Live Essentials (includes Live Basics): - an additional 1 GB of Web site storage, - 50 company-branded e-mail, calendar and instant messaging accounts - Microsoft Office Live Business Contact Manager and online Workspaces for 10 users with 500 MB of storage - In addition, e-mail and appointments can be accessed offline with Microsoft Office Outlook? and Windows Mobile-powered phones.

Office Live Premium (includes Live Essentials):

- an additional 2 GB of Web site storage; - increased storage of 2 GB for the 50 company-branded e-mail, calendar and instant messaging accounts - an increased capacity for 20 additional users and 1 GB of storage for the Workspaces.
