Customers that want a tool capable of performing network diagnostics as well as harvesting configuration and logging information in relation to Office 365 need to head over to the Microsoft Download Center and grab the MOSDAL Support Toolkit. I first told you about the Microsoft Online Services Diagnostics and Logging Support Toolkit in January 2010, which the Redmond company said at the time was a must-have tool for BPOS partners and customers dealing with support services.

Fast forward almost a year later, and the latest version of the MOSDAL Support Toolkit is now tailored to Office 365, Microsoft’s Cloud productivity offering.

“MOSDAL Support Toolkit collects system configuration, network configuration, service-based applications' configuration and logging data along with performing network diagnostics. MOSDAL Support Toolkit can be used by anyone having issues with the Microsoft Online services,” Microsoft explained.

Here are the files available for download: MOSDAL Support Toolkit 2.2 for Live Meeting Services.zip; MOSDAL Support Toolkit 2.2 for Microsoft Online Services.zip; MOSDAL Support Toolkit 2.2 KB.docx and MOSDAL Support Toolkit 2.2 Training.zip.

As you can see, the software giant is offering not only the Microsoft Online Services Diagnostics and Logging Support Toolkit but also additional resources, including the necessary training to help customers make the best of the toolkit.

“The MOSDAL Support Toolkit now comes in 2 flavors, customized for 2 different lines of business,” the Redmond company revealed.

“If you are a Live Meeting direct customer, please download the Live Meeting Services version, and if you are a Microsoft Online Services Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS) or Microsoft Office 365 customer, please download the Microsoft Online Services version.

“Download the zip files to your local system and run either the MSI or the EXE file to install it like any other Windows application. This tool should be installed and run by the user having the issue, rather than the IT/Pro or the IT Gen.”
