Microsoft is allowing early adopters that have jumped at the chance to test drive the upcoming version of Office 2010 to run the suite in their native language. In this regard, the Redmond company has made available for download the Office 2010 Beta Language Pack alongside the Office 2010 Beta Build 14.0.4536.1000 bits. By applying Office 2010 Beta Language Pack on top of the Beta Build 14.0.4536.1000 release, testers will be able to switch the graphical user interface of the next iteration of the Office System to other languages than those offered by default.

“The Microsoft Office Language Interface Pack 2010 Beta– provides an interface for: Microsoft Excel 2010 Beta; Microsoft Outlook 2010 Beta ;Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 Beta; Microsoft Word 2010 Beta; Microsoft Access 2010 Beta; Microsoft InfoPath 2010 Beta; Microsoft OneNote 2010 Beta; Microsoft Project 2010 Beta; Microsoft Publisher 2010 Beta; Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2010 Beta and Microsoft Visio 2010 Beta,” the software giant stated.

There are two variants of the Office 2010 Beta Language Pack available for download, tailored to the 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) versions of the Beta release. Microsoft is offering Office 2010 Beta Build 14.0.4536.1000 in the following languages: Chinese, English, German, Spanish, French, Russian, and Japanese.

It is important to note that users will not be able to leverage the Language Packs from previous Office versions with the latest version of the Office suite. Microsoft has revealed that Office 2007 Language Packs and earlier are not compatible with Office 2010. This is in fact, why the software giant is offering the Office 2010 Beta Language Pack as a standalone download with support for Office 2010 Beta Build 14.0.4536.1000. The first public development milestone of Office 2010 was shipped earlier this month at the Professional Developers Conference 2009 (PDC 2009) in Los Angeles and continues to be up for grabs.
