Google+ is indeed the name of Google's new social network, but it's also the name of a larger project, around the social network, but which includes all Google sites. And what we've seen so far is only the beginning, Google plans to launch plenty of other products related to Google+.

There are some details about at least a couple of them, buried in the Google+ source code are references to a Games section, a no-brainer really, and to a Q&A service likely built into the social network, like Facebook tried, and mostly failed, a couple of times.

Engadget managed to stumble upon some very clear sings that Google is working on these two products.

Of course, the fact that Google is working on a Games platform is no need of a confirmation.

It invested in Zynga last year, there have been rumors of a "Google Games" platform for many, many months and the company has been hiring people with expertise in gaming.

Games have been a huge benefit for Facebook, social games like the ones from Zynga, FarmVille and company, make people come back to the site and spend countless hours on it.

They're a great asset and a social network with global ambitions probably can't do without them. Add to this the fact that game developers would very much like a way of reaching Google's more than one billion users especially on a platform that has every chance of being more open and clearly cheaper, as in: lower or no revenue split.

Google will probably wait until Google+ is used by more people to unveil Google+ Games. When it does though, expect a gaming platform that leverages open-web standard technology like HTML5, JavaScript, WebGL and company, but very likely Adobe Flash as well.
